Happy New Year
I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Years Eve, and a great 2011. One of my resolutions is to start posting again more consistently. I'll try and provide some things I didn't in the past, including movie reviews, restaurant reviews, and a weekly update on the state of Philadelphia sports.

Roy Halladay!
I'm not sure people understand the significance of Roy's playoff no hitter last night. It's the first time in almost 55 years it happened! Plus, it actually got me to post something on the blog.
Let's see if the other Roy can follow-up with something special on Friday night. Welcome to Red October! Go Phils!

I don't understand people....
I know crossing the line as a sports fan happens everywhere, and truly believe that the media overplays the hostility of Philadelphia fans, but this article makes me sick. I know the people who read this are not the knuckleheads who resort to violence in the name of a sports team, but we are all responsible for trying to stop these idiots and not laugh at their antics.

Vacation
Well, the clan (8 of us) are about to head down to Puerto Rico for a get-away. I think this might be the first vacation my side of the family has taken together in about 10 years. I anticipate some updates after the trip about PR and the food we eat. I will be with two legitimate chefs (sister and sister-in-law), plus my mom and I can hold our own. We also have some very good wine and cocktail drinkers. Something tells me I'll look better in the board shorts the first day then the last. Oh well!

I love March!
March is one of my favorite months of the year. Winter slowly comes to an end (thank god, so very sick of the snow), my wonderful wife's birthday is in March, the NCAA tourney gives us a fantastic excuse to ditch work on Thursday and Friday afternoon, and Philadelphia's best professional sports team starts spring training games.

Happy New Year
It's 2010. Sounds very futuristic to me. Let's hope that future has the Eagles rebound from the ass-kicking they took on Sunday.
